In May 2017, I co-developed and co-taught a joint university/college field course in São Paulo, Brazil. Ten teacher candidates from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and 10 Journalism and Broadcasting students from Durham College took the course together, which was devoted to engaging with social justice issues through the lenses of communication, education and art in Brazil and Canada.
